EVENT DESCRIPTION
Encampments are week long activities that serve to build a foundation for cadets to build their Civil Air Patrol experience from. These week long events provide an in-depth orientation to Civil Air Patrol and the United States Air Force. First time cadets can expect to be challenged both mentally and physical during a busy and exciting week of hands on leadership development training, aerospace events, and local site activities. Cadets returning as staff will be challenged even further through the leadership roles they will fill and staff duties they will perform. All cadets will have the opportunity to be introduced to the military, learn to overcome challenges, develop time-management skills, enhance their interpersonal skills, and have a great time.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to attend encampment, first time cadets must have completed the Curry Achievement and have been promoted to Cadet Airman (C/Amn).
FEE (Cadet & Senior)
$90.00 per person. Checks or money orders ONLY, made payable to Florida Wing, Civil Air Patrol. The activity fee increases to $110.00 if paid after 3 December. For members of the same immediate family, the fee is $90 for the first member and $60 for each additional member and $110 for first member and $85 for each additional member if paid after 3 December.

DEADLINES
All application deadlines have past. Please ensure all components of your application have been submitted.
CHECK-IN
Basic Cadets
- Arrive no earlier than 1200hrs CST and no later than 1300hrs CST on 27 Dec 09.
Cadet & Senior Staff
- Arrive no earlier than 1030hrs CST and no later than 1130hrs CST on 26 Dec 09.
NOTE: All times are CENTRAL STANDARD TIME.
GRADUATION
The graduation parade (pass-in-review) will commence at 1100 on 2 Jan 2010. Basic cadets will be dismissed upon completion of the parade.
UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT
Use the encampment packing list form to ensure all items are brought to encampment. This form requires cadet and parent signature and must be turned in during inprocessing.
MEALS
Meals will be provided at the encampment. Cadets with special meal needs must submit a list of needs by 19 DEC 08 to the Encampment Commander, Capt Justin McElvaney at jmcelvaney@flwg.us.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Before 10 Dec 09 - Will receive a full refund.
After 10 Dec 09 but before 19 Dec 09 - Will incur $50 cancellation fee. (Late fees will not be refunded).
After 19 Dec 09 - No refunds
*Refund processing may take as long as 45 days after the end of the encampment*
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation to and from encampment is the participant's personal responsibility. Units or Groups may, and are encouraged to do so, arrange for common transportation through corporate or privately owned vehicles.
